All branches of knowledge, any physical sciences (like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Mathematics, Astronomy, Cosmology, Engineering, Psychology, Economics, Geography, History, Sociology, Political Science etc.), language, literature etc. have their own Angles of view and likewise Astrology has its own; and so, I call it a Philosophy. In this way, everything/every knowledge comes under the unique jurisdiction of Philosophy.

Actually, Astronomy when applied to know human behavior in turn human destiny (over different periods of time) by means of systematic correlation between Astral parameters and human behavior is called Astrology. Of course the correlation is practically supported by statistical data. Therefore Astrology is an applied bundle of Knowledge, otherwise is known to be an applied science.

Astrology is the practice of  Yore. Authentic origination (in terms of location and timing) of its practice is still a subject of debate. Though studies reveal its radix predominantly, pre-vedic in Indian context, yet it was developed to great extent in Vedic era. I found its trace abroad in Greece, Rome, Egypt and Mesopotamia, much before the beginning of vedic culture in India.
